Shulman Collaborative is me, Erin Shulman.

I’ve always had a superpower for finding the “order” inside “disorganized chaos.” I started Shulman Collaborative to help solo professionals and small teams move from administrative overwhelm into a place of clarity. I’m a firm believer that when your back-office systems are simple and sustainable, you have more energy for the work you actually love.

I live in San Diego, California, but I work with people all over the world!

My story:

I spent 13 years in the music industry working in concert audio production. I started as an administrative assistant and worked my way up to logistics manager, handling the massive amount of behind-the-scenes coordination required to keep a production moving.

What I loved most was building something from nothing. I was given the trust to create roles that didn’t exist yet, and shaping them to fit the exact needs of the company. I developed systems, managed complex schedules across multiple time zones, and learned how to see the “big picture” while obsessing over every small detail along the way.

After the music industry, I spent nearly 4 years at a SaaS company where, once again, I built my infrastructure from scratch. I handled everything from business administration and customer support to executing trade show logistics. I became an expert at adapting quickly, maintaining compliance, and anticipating exactly what needed to happen next to keep the business running smoothly.

The “Clarity Sabbatical”:

In early 2025, I took a deliberate step back for a “clarity sabbatical.” I spent months studying systems of organization and intentionality, honing my ability to “unclutter” not just physical spaces, but business workflows.

This wasn’t just a break; it was an upskilling retreat. I realized my true strength lies in creating order within complex systems, and I wanted to use that skill to support a wider variety of independent professionals and small businesses.

During this time, I co-created and began coordinating a podcast, which has been an incredible way to put my systems into practice. It’s given me fresh, hands-on insights into content scheduling, workflow management, and the kind of behind-the-scenes coordination that keeps creative projects moving forward. These are the same skills I now bring to every client I work with.With a renewed focus and a refined toolkit, I launched Shulman Collaborative.

When I’m not streamlining business processes, you’ll find me at the pool hall. I’m a competitive pool player and team captain—a role that, much like my work, requires a lot of strategy, precision, and staying three steps ahead of the next move. I also love traveling to find the best local meals and experiences, both here in San Diego and beyond.
